At Country & Heritage Timber Floors, we’ve been crafting, sanding, installing and restoring timber floors across the ACT since 1978. What started as a small, family-run business has grown into one of Canberra’s most respected names in timber flooring — built on quality, care, and genuine craftsmanship.
In 1982, Phil Wiley took over the reins and has been leading the team ever since. With over four decades of hands-on experience, Phil’s commitment to excellence still drives every project we do today.

Meet Phil – The Floor Whisperer/Boss Man
Phil is more than a tradesman — he’s a timber floor specialist with unmatched passion. With over 3,000 floors under his belt, he’s known for getting down on his hands and knees to inspect your floor personally. It’s not just a job — it’s a legacy. Phil provides honest advice, tailored solutions, and treats each floor as if it were his own.
His approach? “Do it once, do it properly.”
🧰 Rick – Installation & Repair Specialist
Old-school values meet modern technique. Rick is our go-to guy for everything from precision stair installs to full basketball courts. If there’s a timber floor challenge, Rick’s already found the solution.
🔧 Jari – Sanding & Finishing Guru
Quiet, focused, and razor-sharp with detail. Jari is our levelling and finishing expert — always steady, always perfect. He brings balance and consistency to every job and team member.
🪵 Quan – Our Rising Apprentice
Always ready, always working. From carrying timber to mastering the edger, Quan is growing fast under the guidance of Rick and Jari. He’s already proving to be a key part of the crew.
🧠 Dougie – Project Manager & Customer Care
With a background in manufacturing, industrial design, and business management, Duncan ensures every project runs smoothly. He liaises with clients, manages systems, and makes sure your experience is professional and seamless.
💼 June – Bookkeeper & Backbone
June keeps the books balanced, the bills paid, and the team running smoothly. With decades of admin experience, she’s the quiet achiever behind the scenes who keeps everything on track.
