Choose the right floor for you

Install a Solid Timber Floor
Solid timber flooring remains one of the finest choices for creating a warm, elegant and truly timeless interior. Unlike many manufactured flooring products, genuine timber develops character and patina as it ages, giving every floor a unique look and feel. With proper care, a quality solid timber floor can last for generations and can be sanded, resurfaced and recoated many times throughout its life, making it an excellent long-term investment. From the clean contemporary tones of Blackbutt and Tasmanian Oak to the rich depth of Jarrah, Spotted Gum, Sydney Blue Gum, Brushbox and Ironbark, solid timber delivers natural beauty, durability and a level of class that few other flooring options can match.

Install an Engineered Timber Floor
Engineered timber flooring offers the beauty and warmth of real timber with greater dimensional stability and often at a more accessible price point than traditional solid timber. Its layered construction makes it less prone to movement from changes in temperature and humidity, making it a practical choice for modern homes, apartments and larger open-plan spaces. Engineered flooring is also well suited to today’s design trends, including wider boards, longer lengths, lighter natural finishes and contemporary matte coatings. Depending on the thickness of the real timber wear layer, many quality engineered floors can also be sanded and refinished in the future. Available in popular species such as European Oak, Blackbutt, Spotted Gum, Tasmanian Oak and Australian Oak, engineered timber provides a premium look, faster installation and an excellent balance between appearance, performance and overall cost.

Install Parquet or Herringbone Timber Floor
Parquetry and herringbone flooring bring a distinctive architectural feel to a space, combining the natural beauty of timber with classic geometric pattern. Herringbone, chevron and traditional parquet designs can make an immediate visual statement, adding depth, movement and a more refined finish to both contemporary and heritage interiors. These floors are available in a wide range of timbers, including European Oak, Blackbutt, Spotted Gum, Tasmanian Oak, Jarrah and Brushbox, with options ranging from subtle natural tones through to rich, darker finishes. While installation is more detailed and labour-intensive than standard board flooring, the result is a highly individual, premium floor that can significantly elevate the overall look and character of a home or commercial space.

Coating choices
A finish that suits the floor and the people using it.
We discuss sheen, appearance, traffic and practical access before recommending a finish.
Two-component water-based polyurethane
Often a strong choice for busy households. Selected products provide durable protection with generally lower odour than solvent-based systems. We offer matt, satin and gloss options where suitable.
Solvent-based polyurethane
Available when a particular floor or specification calls for it. Stronger odours and ventilation requirements need to be considered during application and early curing.
Every coating has limits. Sand, pet claws, furniture movement and spills can still mark timber floors. We explain maintenance and aftercare for the selected product.
